Welcome to EUSA ID

EUSA_ID is a mobility programme offering study, training and research periods in Europe for South African Master and PhD candidates and staff and provides European PhD candidates the opportunity to spend a research period in South Africa. Three EUSA_ID students arrived at The Hague

The first three EUSA-ID students arrived at ISS / Erasmus University Rotterdam.

They will all take part in the PhD International Development Studies at the Institute for Social Development. Welcome!

European EUSA_ID student arrived at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University

Another European EUSA_ID PhD student arrived in South Africa at our Partner Institution "Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University".

First european EUSA_ID student arrived in South Africa

The first european PhD student arrived safely at our Partner Institution "University of Fort Hare". Rodolphe Demeestère will take part in the PhD Social Sciences and Development Studies and stay about 12 months in South Africa.

3 EUSA_ID students arrived in Paris

3 EUSA_ID students arrived safely in Paris! They all will take part in the Master in Globalization at the Department of Economics at "University Paris1 - la Sorbonne".

Erasmus Mundus

The Erasmus Mundus programme aims to enhance the quality of higher education and promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through mobility and academic cooperation. Action 2 Partnerships are the basis for enhancing academic cooperation and exchanges of students and academics, contributing to the socio-economic development of non-EU countries targeted by EU external cooperation policy.

Mid-term meeting of EUSA_ID as well as the meeting of the selection committee took place at the Ruhr-University Bochum.

Pre departure event took place in Cape Town, at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).

The Meeting of the Selection Committee took place in Cape Town/ South Africa.

10.10.–11.10. 2013

The EUSA_ID kick off meeting took place in Bordeaux. All 13 university partners and 3 associated partners were represented.

Dr. Gabriele Bäcker (RUB) and Prof. Julian May (UWC) took part in the Erasmus Mundus Coordinators' Conference in Brussels.
